Oliver Bonas is an independent British lifestyle store, designing our own take on fashion and homeware.
Our story starts with our founder, Olly. His creative upbringing, culturally influenced by the many countries he lived in, instilled a love of design and an exploratory spirit from an early age. At university, whilst studying Anthropology, Olly began to bring back gifts for friends from his travels abroad. He turned this into a small business and in 1993 the first shop opened, repainted by his friends with Olly behind a second-hand till.

Oliver James Mark Tress (born May 1967) is a British businessman and the founder and head of the UK retail chain Oliver Bonas. He was educated at Marlborough College and Durham University, after which he opened the first Oliver Bonas store in London in 1993. As of 2019, there are 85 Oliver Bonas stores in the UK. He is married to Gina Coladangelo, the marketing and communications director for Oliver Bonas.

Lifestyle brand Oliver Bonas has been in the news today over Matt Hancock’s affair with the communications director of the company, Gina Colangelo.
Health secretary Hancock today apologized for breaking social distancing rules after pictures emerged of him kissing Coladangelo in the Department of Health offices.
Coladangelo, who is also Hancock’s aide, is married to Oliver Bonas founder Oliver Tress.
